Forbes Local Court

Forbes is located in central-western New South Wales, on the Newell Highway around 386 kilometres from Sydney. It has rich gold-mining history and is now an agricultural centre.  The notorious bushranger Ben Hall was shot in this town, and his exploits are featured in Forbes’ museum.

The court house was built in 1880 in the ‘Classical Revival’ style.

Forbes can be reached by road or if you wish to fly, the nearest passenger airport is located in Parkes. CountryLink has a rail service to Orange, with a connecting coach service to Forbes.
