Coonamble is situated in central-western New South Wales. It is a hub for wheat, sheep and wool farming. It is also near to natural attractions such as the Warrumbungle National Park and the Macquarie Marshes.
The court house can be found on Aberford Street, near the Anglican Church and Coonamble High School. It was originally built in 1877.
Coonamble is a six hour drive from Sydney, and a two hour drive from Dubbo, where there is a major regional airport. It can also be reached by the Countrylink bus service from Sydney.
